There’s the possibility that the Galaxy A55 will receive One UI 8.5 before the brand releases it to everyone.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A55 with One UI 6 (Android 14). The company also promised to offer it four major OS upgrades. Meanwhile, the brand has already offered it two major OS upgrades, One UI 7 and One UI 8, and is yet to offer it the remaining two.
This being the case, it means it will receive the company’s latest version of Android customisation, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). From the look of things, Samsung is planning to open the beta Programme for the new software for the A55.
Furthermore, the first One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy A55 has been spotted on Samsung’s server, which offers over-the-air updates to the brand’s smartphones. It comes with firmware version A556SKSU7ZZD3. This means that the company is likely to open the One UI 8.5 beta Programme for the smartphone. It will enable users to enrol their phones in it and try the new software, while waiting for the release of the stable version to everyone.
One UI 8.5 offers a user interface with a new design and many new features. They will make the Galaxy A55 more customisable and more useful as well. Samsung might also run the One UI 8.5 beta Programme for the Galaxy A55 for a period of one or two months, after which, the release of the stable version of the new software follows.
We don’t know if this means that users will have to wait for this period to get it, especially those who don’t wish to take any risk with the beta version of One UI 8.5.
